Introduction

Building elements and materials guides will be produced in three languages on four key building materials – Stone, Clay, Lime, and Timber. This manual will form as educational material for stakeholder, students, government officers and owners. Most importantly, this manual will ensure the sustainability of the George Town World Heritage Site.

Objective

  • To provide property owners, tenants, creative professionals, decision makers and enforcers with booklets identifying authentic architectural elements and building material, in order to aid best practice conservation and maintenance.
  • To facilitate the conservation and maintenance process.
  • To educate the curious and the interested of all ages and all walks of life.
